We believe that the whole territory concerned can be naturally split into 4 parts, each of which requires a specific approach dealing with a specific problem. We have thus four words, activities characterising “the intervention” in the given area: CONNECTION, REBIRTH, AMENDMENT, COMPLETION We are handling with physical premises corresponding with the words: BRIDGE, PARK, STREET, SQUARE.

We are solving a problem of the New Bridge underbridge representing a barrier between the Old Town and its other parts – the settlement round the castle, Vydrica, Zukermandel. The Staromestská Street at the Židovská Street section with its idle castle walls becomes one of the most important sections of the territory. We propose to assign a new role to the castle walls, to spread the Židovská Street, to enhance its residential character and to establish a new strong pedestrian road in the Staromestská Street. At the other territory concerned, i.e. between the Kapucínska Street and the Hodžovo Sqare, we will establish a full-valued city space – a street with a functioning, living parterre, with a line of trees and of proper dimensions. The Hodžovo Square will get closed and smaller, free from the crossroad and adapted to the surrounding city from its dimensions point of view.
